Podcast: reinventing yourself after burnout with Charlotte Walhain
Around 34% of French employees are thought to be affected by burnout, 13% of them severely. Yet this syndrome of work-related exhaustion is not officially recognized as an illness in France.
Charlotte experienced this work-related condition firsthand in 2018. Communications Director at a major CAC 40 company in Paris for several years, she was working extremely long hours and ignoring the warning signs.
In the end, it was her body that forced her to stop abruptly, when she passed out during an executive committee meeting.
Charlotte had to step back, heal and learn how to take care of herself again.
During her recovery, she discovered alternative therapies such as sophrology and naturopathy, and began practicing yoga.
In February 2019, she came up with the idea of creating a multidisciplinary space combining yoga, naturopathy, sophrology and boxing.
A few months later, La Parenthèse, a space dedicated to sport and well-being, opened its doors in Nice.
Today, Charlotte shares the key stages of her entrepreneurial journey, shaped by positive energy, sisterhood and kindness.
She explains how she learned to listen to herself, realign and use her experience to help others.
Finally, Charlotte shares her well-being rituals for feeling better every day.
