Nestled in the heart of the Mediterranean, the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat has mastered the art of hospitality with rare elegance.
Awena Studio shares that same vision: one where design, softness and well-being become a true art of living.
When we reached out to the Hotel to develop a unique collection of accessories for its new outdoor zen space, the collaboration felt obvious from the start: natural, effortless and inspired.
The Grand-Hôtel's needs
Creating an outdoor zen space
The Grand-Hôtel wanted to offer its guests outdoor meditation and yoga sessions, in harmony with the beauty of its gardens.
The brief was clear:
- develop high-end outdoor pieces (bolsters, zafus, Berlingot cushions, pillows);
- imagine a world that is beautiful, durable and suited to the Hotel's zen space;
- deliver impeccable comfort, in keeping with the Grand-Hôtel's standards.
We also suggested adding an extra touch of softness: a collection of eye pillows to complete the relaxation rituals.
Inspiration
Capturing the soul of the Mediterranean
To create a collection in dialogue with its setting, we imagined three color stories inspired by Cap-Ferrat:
🌊Mediterranean escape: cream white, azure and golden sand
🌿Serenity & well-being: sage green, soft beige, pearl gray
🧘♀️Nature & authenticity: terracotta, natural linen, olive green
Each palette was designed to complement the Hotel's architectural lines, its century-old gardens and the soft Mediterranean light.
Choice of materials
Sustainability, harmony & comfort
We selected materials that can withstand the sun, the sea breeze and the elements, without ever compromising on comfort.
- UV- and weather-resistant outdoor fabrics
- Removable, washable covers
- Spelt hull filling that naturally contours to the body

The end result
A gentle haven for zen practice
The cushions now have their place in the zen space of the Grand-Hôtel's gardens, surrounded by greenery and facing the sea.
They accompany every breath, every movement, every moment of calm. They extend the experience of the place: a simple, authentic luxury that touches and soothes.
